ORIZZONTI FRUIT-D – Disc Orchard Pruning Machine

The ORIZZONTI FRUIT-D is a disc orchard pruning machine designed for mechanised pruning in row-planted orchards. It is suitable for apple, peach and other fruit orchards, as well as olive groves trained in trellis systems.

The machine is built on a robust supporting frame with a 45° structure, designed to provide stability during operation and when the machine is raised. Its cutting system consists of vertical and horizontal bars fitted with rotating discs, allowing the sides and top of the tree canopy to be pruned mechanically.

Cutting system
The FRUIT-D features vertical and horizontal cutting bars equipped with rotating discs. The discs have a diameter of 40 cm and reinforced teeth with tungsten carbide (Widia) plates. The discs are hydraulically driven by one or more gear motors, with a belt-and-pulley transmission. The design focuses on cutting efficiency, ease of maintenance and adjustable disc rotation speed.
